The Certified Low Voltage Lighting Technician (CLVLT) is an extensive test measuring the knowledge and capabilities of the applicants. The test consists of a written exam of over 100 questions and 7 half-hour modules. Every section must be passed in order to obtain the CLVLT.

Sections include:

• Design
• Installation
• Voltage Drop
• Transformers
• Lamps
• Maintenance
• Troubleshooting

Continuing education is required

to maintain the CLVLT.
